Picture of the picosecond

I have a variety of research interests in the field of computer graphics. While pursuing my MMath, my interest turned towards the simulation of natural phenomena. Gladimir Baranoski and I developed a model for the interaction of light with human skin named BioSpec. In addition, I have a research agenda at Adobe. My current research interests are:
  • Photo realistic rendering
  • Robust, physically-based, and efficient material specification systems
  • Practical and physically correct global illumination
  • Biologically and physically-based rendering of organic materials
  • Simulation of natural phenomenon
  • Parallel computing
  • Computational imaging/photography
BioSpec was one of the primary products of my MMath research and thesis, and its evolution continues to be area of interest and further research. I also did some work with virtual goniophotometers in the begining of my MMath.

A full list of my publications is available in the Publications section.

Conferences:

I usually attend a couple of conferences a year, however this year (2009) I don't plan on attending any conferences.
