I have a variety of research interests in the field of computer graphics. While pursuing my MMath, my interest turned towards the simulation of natural phenomena. Gladimir Baranoski and I developed a model for the interaction of light with human skin named BioSpec. In addition, I have a research agenda at Adobe. My current research interests are:
- Photo realistic rendering
- Robust, physically-based, and efficient material specification systems
- Practical and physically correct global illumination
- Biologically and physically-based rendering of organic materials
- Simulation of natural phenomenon
- Parallel computing
- Computational imaging/photography
BioSpec was one of the primary products of my MMath research and thesis, and its evolution continues to be area of interest and further research. I also did some work with virtual goniophotometers in the begining of my MMath.
A full list of my publications is available in the Publications section.
Conferences:
I usually attend a couple of conferences a year, this year (2010) I will be at SIGGRAPH.
